Holley wins with 7th inning rally
Holley pushed across a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to nip visiting Byron-Bergen 3-2 this afternoon in the Genesee Region League season baseball opener.
A sacrifice fly by Lucas Silvis plated the game winner for Holley. A leadoff single by Jon Bower and a bunt single by Josh Porter set up the opportunity.
Holley had knotted the contest at 2-2 by scoring once in the bottom of the sixth as Dylan Hillabush singled and came home on a double by Justin Parker.
Hillabush, who had three hits on the day, also had a big game on the mound striking out 11 in five and two-thirds innings of work.
