Holley tops Kendall in tourney opener
Holley downed rival Kendall 66-49 in the opening round of the Hawks Holiday Tournament this evening.
Breaking away from a 30-30 half-time deadlock, Holley used a big 24-5 third period scoring burst to key the victory.
Kohl Morgan scored 11 points to spearhead that uprising which vaulted the Hawks into a 54-35 lead heading into the final period.
Morgan finished with 24 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals.
Carson Major scored 16 points for the Hawks as Cody Tanis chipped in with 8 and AJ Drechsel 7.
Derek Edick scored 23 and Mason Kuhn 12 for Kendall.
Holley will now face Rochester Academy Charter in the championship game at 7 p.m. Saturday. Kendall will meet Destiny of Rochester in the consolation game at 5:30 p.m.
