Holley to face Williamson for C1 soccer title
Top seeded Holley will face No. 2 Willimson for the Section V Class C1 girls soccer championship at 5 p.m. Friday at Gates Chili.
Holley downed No. 4 Bloomfield 7-0 and Williamson bested No. 3 Oakfield-Alabama 4-1 in the semifinals as both teams bring 15-3 records into the title contest.
Offensively, Holley has been led by Samanatha Bates with 25 goals and 10 assists. Jailyn Bishop has 11 goals and 13 assists and Emma Brady 9 goals and 8 assists. Bella Thom has added 5 goals and Alivia Wolf, Zoey Wolf and Leigha Walker 4 each.
For Williamson, Elizabeth Brandy has 27 goals and 12 assists, Anna Henner 24 and 9 and Laurn Schmeelk 17 and 12.
Williamson has outscored its opponents 91-16 and Holley has topped its foes 75-18.
