Boasting a good returning contingent, Holley’s softball squad is looking to bounce back from last spring’s 3-16 campaign.

The senior quartet of shortstop Tabby Swift, second baseman Bailey Papaj, catcher Brianna VanAmeron and outfielder Leah Baker lead that veteran group which also includes junior outfielder Brianna Barber, sophomore first baseman Anna Brasted and freshman third baseman Madison Papaj.

The Lady Hawks roster also includes junior outfielders Heather Winkley and Emma Grathouse, sophomore center fielder Brooklyn Bartholomew along with freshmen pitchers Madison Day and Kassie Norman.

“I’ve never been more excited,” said Coach Mark Thomas. “We have our infield back and our pitchers and catcher are our strength. Everyone knows how we work and they are hungry to win and ready to go. We have a lot of the pieces set in place and our players are very focused and driven.”

Holley is scheduled to open the Genesee Region League season at home on Wednesday against rival Kendall.
