Holley soccer squads score sweep

Five different players contributed goals as Holley romped to an 8-0 victory over host Rochester Academy Charter this afternoon in a non league boys soccer game.

The Lady Hawks nipped host Notre Dame 2-0 in overtime in a Genesee Region League game.

Holley 8, Rochester Academy Charter 0
Andrew Cary had 3 goals, Derek McArthur 2 goals an 2 assists and Bailey Schubmehl 1 goal and 2 assists to lead the way for Holley which also got goals by Tyler Hill and Andrew Moseman.

Now at 7-2-1 overall, Holley next hosts Byron-Bergen/Elba at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in a key Geensee Region League battle for first place. Pembroke (4-2) knocked Byron-Bergen/Elba (5-1, 9-1) from the ranks of the unbeaten by a 4-3 margin. That Dragons win pulls the Hawks (4-1-1) to within a half game of first place.

Joe LoSapio scored Kendall’s lone goal in the loss at Wheatland-Chili off an assist from Jake Adams.

Girls Soccer
Holley 2, Notre Dame 0 OT
All of the scoring came in the two overtime periods as Holley nipped Notre Dame 2-0.

Haylee Passarell scored the game winner in the first 10 minute overtime period off an assist from Ryley O’Mara.

O’Mara then added an insurance tally in the second overtime period as Sierra Apicella had the assist.

Madison Papaj made 4 saves in goal for the Lady Hawks.
