Holley High senior Lucas Silvis has signed a letter of intent to attend the University at Buffalo and wrestle for the Bulls.

"It is exciting," said Silvis who will be joining his brother Mike who is a sophomore member of the U.B. wrestling squad.

"It’s a great opportunity for Lucas both academically and athletically" said Holley varsity wrestling Coach John Grillo. "He’s certainly deserving and I think he will do well there. He has a great heart and a great work ethic. He’s just a great all around young man."

Silvis compiled a 38-4 record this past season for Holley placing second at the Section V Class BB Tournament and third at the Section V state qualifier tournament. He finished his three year varsity carer with a record of 109-27.

Silvis, who is undecided on his major, has also played varsity football and baseball for the Hawks.
