Holley United U17 wins soccer season finale
The Holley United U17 team edged Batavia SC 2-1 in a regular season ending Rochester District Youth Soccer League girls game on Friday evening.
Finishing the season at 10-0-2 Holley started the game with only 9 players and played the second half with just 8 due to an injury.
Batavia jumped out to a 1-0 lead but Holley pulled even as Samantha Bates scored on a breakaway off an assist from Emma Brady.
Mia Thom then scored what proved to be the game winning goal before halftime off a corner by Bates.
