Holley Raptors romp to avenge lone loss
Avenging a season opening 3-0 loss, the Holley Raptors romped to an 8-1 victory over the Cobras FC in a Rochester District Youth Soccer League girls U19 Division game Thursday evening at Genesee Community College.
The Raptors improve to 4-1-0 (12 points) and move into a tie for first place with Penfield (4-2-0) 12 points for the division lead.

Young, Brown and Claire Squicciarini each added 2 assists as Burgess and Nikki Creasey both chipped in with 1.
Breaking away from a scoreless deadlock, a quick two goal scoring burst midway through the first half ignited the Raptors offense. Burgess scored the first goal off an assist from Brown and Fadale quickly followed up with another tally off a corner by Young.
The Raptors doubled their advantage to 4-0 at the half on goals by Brown, off an assist from Squicciarini, and Young.
Scanlan and Young then each scored a pair of goals in the second half to close out the win. Young, Burgess, Brown and Creasey took turns earning assists during that stretch.
The Raptors next host LeRoy (2-3) at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at GCC and will then face Penfield next Wednesday.
