A second half rally fell short as Holley dropped a 27-12 decision at Pembroke this evening in a Genesee Region League football game.

Trailing 27-0 at the half, Holley came battling back as an interception by Nick Schenk set up a 7 yard touchdown run by Zach Day and a 45 yard pass completion from quarterback Nick Passarell to Ronnie DeWahl set up a 2 yard TD run by Passarell.

However, the Hawks could get no closer than 27-12 as a lost fumble at the Pembroke 15 in the fourth quarter proved costly.

Jake Jasinski, Damion Ramirez, Reid Miano and Zack Vonkramer each scored a touchdown for Pembroke which snapped a season long four game losing streak.

The Pembroke defense forced 4 turnovers and registered 8 sacks.

Eric Balys had a big game defensively for Holley making 9 tackles for no gain or losses and registering a sack.

Now at 0-5, Holley next hosts Oakfield-Alabama at 1:30 next Saturday for Homecoming.
