Holley/Lyndonville downs Finney
Jumping out to an early 16-0 lead, Holley/Lyndonville went on to defeat host CG Finney 40-28 in an 8 man football game this afternoon.
Quarterback Destin Kuyal had a huge game for the Hawks. Offensively, he rushed 18 times for 227 yards and 4 touchdowns including runs of 14, 52, 64 and 70 yards. On defense, he made 16 tackles including 3 for losses.
Hunter Jewell-Smith scored the Hawks other TD as Mason Moyer, Smith and Jacob Pitcher all had two-point conversions.
Smith also made 8 tackles and Moyer 5.
“It was a total team win,” said Hawks Coach Wil Prince.
Now at 1-1, Holley/Lyndonville will next visit Caledonia-Mumford at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Pembroke defeated Cal-Mum 58-22 on Friday as Tyson Totten rushed for 330 yards and 5 touchdowns.
