Holley, Kendall score G-R soccer wins
Tuning up for Wednesday’s key meeting, Holley and Kendal both scored Genesee Region League boys soccer victories this evening.
Holley trimmed host Attica 2-1 to improve to 3-0 in the league and 4-1 overall while Kendall bested visiting Wheatland-Chili 4-2 to go to 1-1-1, 2-1-1.
Holley will now host Kendall at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
All of the scoring in the Holley game came in the second half as Caleb Wright scored off an assist from Karl Biedlingmaier and Bradley Kingdollar tallied from Malachi Rowcliffe for the Hawks.
Kendall jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Derek Edick and Hayden VanDusen (a penalty kick) before W-C scored just before the half to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Kendall though got that one back in the opening minute of the second half on a goal by Brian Gonzalexz.
A goal by Jacob Esposito in the final minute rounded out the Eagles scoring.
Mason Kuhn had a big night in goal for Kendall making 19 saves.
