Holley, Kendall score G-R girls soccer wins

Holley and Kendall both scored victories in Genesee Region League girls soccer competition this evening.

Holley blanked Notre Dame 3-0 as Sam Bates scored 2 goals and Emma Brady 1.

The win boosts the Lady Hawks record to 5-0-1 in the league and 7-1-1 overall.

Kendall nipped Alexander 2-1 as Alea Barrett scored a goal in the first half and Danielle Offhaus tallied in the second half.

The Lady Eagles are now 2-5 in the league and 4-5 overall.

Volleyball
Medina 25-18-25-24-15, City Honors 18-25-17-26-10

Medina outlasted host City Honors in a five set non league match 25-8, 18-25, 25-17, 24-26, 15-10.

Ki’Mani Poole had 4 aces, Haley Wilkins 5 kills and 2 aces, Addison Paul 3 kills, Lorelei Sanders 2 aces and 5 assists and Kylie Poynter 2 aces for the Mustangs.

In another non league match, Lew-Port defeated Roy-Hart 25-21, 25-18, 25-19.

Elba 25-25-25, Holley 9-18-10

Elba downed Holley 25-9, 25-18, 25-10 in a G-R match as Halie Scouten had 10 kills and 3 blocks, Rachel Walls 6 kills and Mariah Ognibene 3 aces and 2 kills.

Tia Hoffarth had 3 kills and 2 blocks.
