Holley-Kendall is 2nd at Cal-Mum Tourney

Going 4-1 on the day, Holley-Kendall earned second place honors today at the Caledonia-Mumford Wrestling Tournament.

Holley-Kendall defeated East High of Rochester 56-24, Wilson Magnet 72-9, Pavilion/York 82-6 and Cal-Mum 57-24 but lost to Avon/Geneseo 51-35.

Jayden Pieniaszek, Tristyn Moyer, Jeremy Browe and Dylan Spellan all went 5-0 on the day while Jeff Moynihan,  David Farruggia, Cade Aina, Erik Balys and Hunter McLean went 4-1, Dawson Custer 3-1, and Brandon Gardner 3-2.

Browe and Bayles both earned their milestone 100th career victories.

Section VI Duals Tournament

Albion lost 51-33 to Pioneer today in the quarterfinal round of the Section VI Division II Dual Meet Tournament at Lancaster.

The Purple Eagles then dropped a 48-40 decision to Iroquois in the consolation round.

Niagara-Orleans League champion Newfane was defeated 55-21 by eventual tourney champion Falconer in the quarterfinals.

The Panthers rebounded to defeat Randolph 53-21 in the consolation round before being eliminated by Pioneer 44-33.

Akron-Alden defeated Iroquois 45-40 in the quarterfinals and Pioneer 37-36 (criteria) in the semis before bowing 64-11 to Falconer in the title match.

Perry Tournament

Lyndonville’s Rodney Davis placed fourth at 160 lbs. at the Perry Tournament.
