Holley, Kendall netters open Monday
Photos by Mike Wertman – Holley will host Attica on Monday to open the Genesee Region League tennis season. Leading the Hawks into the season are veterans Steven Morgan, Kelsie Johnstone, Cheyan Palmer and Dalton Thurley. All are seniors except Palmer who is a junior. Missing from the photo are senior Allison Howard and junior Aaron Strathearn. Coached this year by Andrew Grillo, the Hawks will also host Alexander on Wednesday and Pembroke on Friday to round out the first week’ schedule.
Kendall will visit Wheatland-Chili on Monday to open G-R League tennis competition. The Eagles are led by this veteran quintet of Tony Raufeisen, Ryan Barrett, Nate Warters, Matt Murray and Chris Butlin. Coached this season by Dave Heffron, the Eagles will also visit Oakfield-Alabama on Wednesday to complete the opening week.
