Holley, Kendall have G-R soccer All-Stars

Photo by Mike Wertman – Holley is represented on the Genesee Region League girls All-Star soccer team by Madison Papaj and Halee Passarell.

Holley’s duo of senior goalie Madison Papaj and freshman midfielder Halee Passarell along with Kendall senior midfielder Taylor ReQua have earned Genesee Region League girls soccer All-Star honors.

Papaj, a three-time G-R All-Star, made a total of 120 saves on the season and had a goals against average of 1.631.

Passarell led the Lady Hawks in scoring with 6 goals and 2 assists.

ReQua, a five year varsity player and a four-time G-R All-Star, led Kendall in scoring with 18 goals and 11 assists. She finishes with career totals of 71 goals and 65 assists.

Holley also had two Honorable Mention selections in defenders Abby Williams, a junior, and Olivia Radford, a sophomore.

Kendall forward Michela Hanlon and defender Lyndsay Wright, both seniors, also both earned Honorable Mention. Hanlon had 14 goals and 4 assists.

Byron-Bergen led the All-Star team with six honorees including forwards Miriam Tardy and Kelsey Fuller, midfielders Makenzie Muoio and Leah Thompson and defenders Jeanne Denson and Morgan Fuller.

Wheatland-Chili placed the quintet of forward Nivah Rosado, midfielders Cassie Parker and Hannah Callaghan along with defenders Abbey Callaghan and Julia Nolan.

Pembroke is represented by four players including forward Serene Calderon, midfielder Bethany Zwolinski, defender Grace Krizen and goalie Jessie Weaver.

Rounding out the All-Star team are forward Callie McCulley and defender Morgan Rhodes from Notre Dame and defender Lakin Woodward from Oakfield-Alabama/Elba.
