Holley, Kendall girls post G-R soccer wins

Kendall nipped visiting Pembroke 1-0 and host Holley edged past Notre Dame 2-1 this evening in Genesee Region League girls soccer games.

Michela Hanlon scored the lone goal for Kendall with just 4 minutes remaining off an assist from Lizzie Sutphen.

Hannah Ulmen made 5 saves to earn the shutout in goal for Kendall which is now 3-0 in the league.

Haylee Passarell and Sarah Harrington each scored a goal for Holley as Kayleigh Neale and Passarell earned assists.

Maddie Papaj had 9 saves in goal for the Lady Hawks which improve to 2-1 in G-R action.

Boys soccer

Holley 1, Byron-Bergen/Elba 1 OT

Holley battled to a 1-1 overtime tie with Byron-Bergen/Elba this evening at Bergen in the Hawks Genesee Region League opener.

Matt Wilson scored for Holley in the first half and Kyler Chambry tallied for the Bees in the second half.
