Holley and Kendall bow in G-R road contests
Holley dropped a narrow 53-47 decision at Elba and Kendall was defeated 71-41 at Pembroke in Genesee Region League boys basketball action this evening.
Michael Long scored a game high 31 points and Angelo Penna netted 14 to lead the way for Elba.
Destin Kuyal scored 19 and Vinny Golisano 14 to pace Holley.
Kuyal scored 15 on five threes in the second quarter to help give Holley a 35-27 lead at the half.
However, Elba rallied to outscore Holley 26-12 in the second half to claim the win.
Long scored 12 in the third period to help the Lancers rally into a 40-40 tie. He then added 9 in the final stanza to help lock up the win.
Pembroke 71, Kendall 41
Tyson Totten scored 31 to spark Pembroke which led 37-15 at the half.
Jonas Rhodes scored 9, Louis Conte 8 and Austin Wakefield and Austin Werth 7 each for Kendall.
