Holley-Kendall matmen down Lyndonville

Nine forfeits and four first period pins made for a quick match as Holley-Kendall downed host Lyndonvile 63-18 in a Genesee Region League wrestling match his evening.

Pins by Frank Flynn (220) in 45 seconds, Dawson Custer (152) in 1:49 and Brandon Gardner (126) in 3:37, along with a one point decision win by Tristyn Moyer (120), highlighted the victory for Holley-Kendall which benefitted from seven of the forfeit wins.

Lyndonville got back-to-back sub minute pins Cullen Heveron (132) in 46 seconds and Dylan Burt-Hodgins (138) in 52 seconds to open the match.

The victory gives Holley-Kendall a 2-1 G-R record and puts the Hawks into a three-way tie for the top spot with Byron-Bergen and Alexander. Byron-Bergen nipped Alexander 40-39 this evening.
