Holley gridders down Wellsville

A big three touchdown second quarter scoring burst keyed Holley to a 27-12 victory over Wellsville this evening in a lightning shorted Section V Class C Connor and Ferris Consolation Bowl semifinal round game at SUNY Brockport.

Breaking away from a 6-6 deadlock, the Hawks took charge in the second quarter as quarterback Nick Passarell completed touchdown passes of 32 yards to Clarence Moyer and 10 yards to Zach Vaccarelli and also ran 2 yards himself for a third TD.

Passarell also hooked up with Moyer for a 75 yard touchdown pass in the first quarter.

On defense, Passarell had two interceptions and Brandon Kamm one as Zach Day, Luke Silvis and Glen Robb all had fumble recoveries for the ball hawking Hawks.

The contest was halted with four minutes to go in the third quarter due to lightning.

Holley will next travel to Mynderse next week at a date and tme to be announced.
