Holley grad is GCC Athlete of the Week

BATAVIA – Women’s soccer goalkeeper Madison Papaj has been named Genesee Community College Female Athlete of the Week.
Papaj scored a goal on Sophomore Night against the Jamestown Community College Jayhawks and stopped 26 of 27 shots in a 1-0 loss against the nationally-ranked Herkimer College Generals.
The sophomore from Holley has started 10 games in net for the Blue and Gold with a .878 save percentage and 1.24 goals against average.
During her scholastic days at Holley, Papaj was a three time Genesee Region League All-Star.
