Holley grad earns academic honor at Alfred

Holley High graduate and Alfred State sophomore Erik Balys has been named to the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference All Academic team for the second year in a row.
A wrestler must have a grade point average of at least 3.30 to qualify for the All Conference Academic honor.
Balys is majoring in Heavy Equipment Operations.
During his scholastic days at Holley, Balys was a sectional place finisher in wrestling and a Genesee Region League All-Star in soccer.
