Holley girls trim Lyndonville/Medina; Kendall edges past Alexander

Jumping out to an early 2-0 lead, Holley went on to defeat Lyndonville/Medina 4-2 in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game this afternoon at Lyndonville.
Holley grabbed a quick 1-0 lead when Allison Lyndaker scored 14 minutes into the first half.
The Lady Hawks quickly made it 2-0 when Halee Passarell tallied just eight minutes later.
Lyndonville though got back into the game when Anna Lewis scored with 10:31 to go in the opening half slicing the deficit to 2-1.
However, Holley got that one back when Olivia Radford scored on a breakaway just four minutes into the second half.
Lyndonville did answer back when Miranda Zelazny scored on a rebound off an initial shot by Ella Lewis with 21:56 remaining to cut the deficit to 3-2 but the Lady Tigers could not net the equalizer.
Holley put a lock on the win when Radford scored with just 4:47 remaining.
Holley is now 1-1 in the league and 2-2 overall while Lyndonville/Medina is 1-2 and 1-3 overall.
Kendall 1, Alexander 0
Hailee Mitchell scored her fifth goal of the season in the second half to earn Kendall a narrow 2-1 victory over visiting Alexander as the Lady Eagles improve to 2-1 in G-R competition.
