Holley girls post shutout; B-B tops Kendall

Holley shutout visiting Oakfield-Alabama/Elba 2-0 this evening in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game.

Halee Passarell scored both goals for the Lady Hawks, the first off an assist from Rachel Killian in the first half, and the second on a penalty kick in the second half.

Maddie Papaj made 3 saves to earn the shutout in goal.

In another G-R contest, Byron-Bergen downed host Kendall 5-2.

Taylor ReQua scored both goals for Kendall.

The game was deadlocked at 1-1 at the half but Byron-Bergen scored back to back goals to open the second half to regain the lead for good.

Volleyball
Notre Dame bested Kendall 3 sets to 1 in a G-R volleyball match.

Jenna Regan had 14 kills, 4 aces and 2 digs and Sunni Brice 10 digs, 4 aces and 7 assists for Kendall.

In another G-R match, undefeated (5-0, 8-0) Byron-Bergen downed Lyndonville 25-14, 25-22, 25-10 as Madison Farnsworth had 9 kills 12 digs and 2 aces and Lauren Burke 15 assists, 3 kills and 2 digs.

Field Hockey
Barker 2, Nichols 0
Barker blanked Nichols 2-0 in a non league game as Cara Fox and Paige Sandolfini shared in earning the shutout in goal.

Leah Fazzolari scored what proved to be the game winner for Barker in the first half off an assist from Rachel Hurtgam.

Natalie Menz added an insurance tally for the Lady Raiders in the second half on a penalty corner off an assist from Katrina Clare.
