Kendall faculty nips Holley in thriller scoring big win for local food pantries

In a down to the wire thriller before a capacity crowd, the Kendall High faculty nipped the host rival Holley High faculty 45-44 in a benefit basketball game this evening which scored a big victory for the food pantries in the two communities.

A steal and a free throw by Brian Duffy in the final seconds snapped a 44-44 tie and gave Kendall the exciting victory in the “Cause For The County” contest which raised over $1,700 which will be split between the Kendall Food Cupboard and the Holley Loaf and Ladle Soup Kitchen.

Kendall jumped out to a 26-17 half-time advantage and maintained a narrow 35-33 lead after three quarters.

Joining Duffy in the Kendall lineup were Jeff Parizek, Matt Zimmer, Kevin Watson, Shawn Wolfgram, Joe Petrosino, Morgan Engelbert, Lovette French, Tige Noni, Kelly Picardo, Adam Sweeney, Kalina Simmonds, Julie Robinson, Jessica Clark and Mark Driesel.

The lineup for the Holley faculty squad included Dan Light, Jason Cole, Matt Hennard, Justin Tese, Renee Wolfe, Mike Crissman, Dan Wakefield, Mark Thomas, Tom Pinto, Kristina Mack, Nick D’Amuro, Mark Mattice, Ben Slate, Sheena Hamiter, Will Prince, Chris Grasta and Alex Cordisco.
