Holley completes sweep of rival Kendall

Completing a home and home season series sweep, Holley downed rival Kendall 6-1 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League boys soccer make-up game at Holley.

Holley, which also scored a 4-2 win earlier in the season at Kendall, moved on top to stay when Matt Wilson scored just 9:45 into the opening half off an assist from Erik Balys.

The Hawks took a 2-0 lead at the half as Kayden Servais scored with 8:38 to go as Balys again earned the assist.

Holley then broke the game wide open by scoring two quick goals in the first four minutes of the second half.

First Servais scored at 38:53 on a long kick and then Kohl Morgan tallied at 36:51 off a corner kick by Wilson.

Wilson later upped the Hawks lead to 5-0 when he scored on a line drive shot at the 18:56 mark.

Kendall’s line goal was scored by Jacob Esposito with 4:36 remaining off an assist from Brian Gonzalez.

Holley’s Malachi Rowcliffe rounded out the scoring when he tallied with 2:53 remaining off an assist from Brad Kingdollar.

Holley improves to 5-2 in the league and 8-4-2 overall while Kendall slips to 1-7, 2-13.

Holley next visits Byron-Bergen/Elba on Wednesday while Kendall travels to Avon on Thursday.
