Holley cagers trim Letchworth in opener
Holley opened the season on a high note by edging host Letchworth 55-51 in a non league boys basketball game this evening.
Vincent Golisano scored 17, Destin Kuyal 15, Ben Cox 11 and Josh Silpoch 8 to lead the way for Holley which was up 19-14 after one quarter, 30-22 at the half and 41-37 after three quarters.
The Hawks next host Oakfield-Alabama at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Genesee Region League opener.
Oakfield-Alabama 64, Barker 44
Oakfield-Alabama bested visiting Barker 64-44 in a non league contest.
Brenden Wescott scored 19 and Avery Watterson 15 to lead the way for Oakfield-Alabama which led 29-20 at the half and 44-33 at the three-quarter mark.
Aidan Mescall scored 15, Luey Castro 8, Logan Murrell 7, Isaac Monaco and Ireland Brady 5 and Owen Harris 4 for Barker.
In a G-R contest, Alexander downed visiting Lyndonville 104-18. Justin Higgins and Jacob Pitcher each scored 7 for the Tigers.
