HOLLEY – Underclassmen dominate the Holley boys basketball lineup this season as the Hawks have only one returning senior.

Corey Winter is the only senior back for the Hawks which are counting on juniors Joe DeFelice, Ian Penders, Josh Porter and point guard John Bower along with sophomores Zac Vaccarelli and Hunter DeFelice.

“The key for us is hard work and growth every practice and every game,” said Coach Matt Hennard. “We’re working on getting better and getting experience. Growth is the key and there will be a lot of growing pains.”

Holley is slated to open the season with a non league game at Northstar on De. 3 and then begin Genesee Region League action on Dec. 6 at Byron-Bergen. The Hawks schedule is also highlighted by the return of the Holley Tournament on Jan. 3 and 4.
