Holley bests Byron-Bergen in G-R softball

Holley downed visiting Byron-Bergen 9-4 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League softball game.

Holley had a big seven run fourth inning scoring burst as Haley Skidmore and Jocelyn Chilton each drove in two runs and Gianna Grathouse and winning pitcher Maddie Marsh both plated one.

In the circle, Marsh struck out seven.

Defensively, Sarah Klatt turned a double play for the Lady Hawks.

Rain washed  out the rest of this afternoon’s slate of local high school baseball and softball games.

The Medina vs. Roy-Hart Niagara-Orleans League baseball game, which was scheduled for this afternoon at Gasport, has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Vets Park.

The Albion vs. Wilson baseball game has been rescheduled for May 16.

The Wilson at Albion softball game has been rescheduled for May 13 at 6:30 p.m.

Also postponed were the Lyndonville vs. Elba and Byron-Bergen vs. Kendall Genesee Region League baseball games as well as the Kendall vs. Lima Christian softball game.
