Holley, Kendall score G-R tennis wins
Holley downed Attica 4-1 this afternoon to improve to 4-1 in Genesee Region League tennis competition.
Cavan Bennage, Cora Bennage and James Tette all scored singles wins for Holley.
The Hawks also had Mason Neale and Zander Carpenter team up for a win at first doubles.
In another G-R match, Kendall blanked Pembroke 5-0 as Devin Edick, Tobias Passer and Joshua Esposito scored singles wins.
The Eagles also got wins from the doubles teams of Jonathan Esposito – Steven Strapp and Riley Diltz – Lucas Jones.
In Niagara-Orleans League matches, front-running Akron (8-0) downed host Albion (5-3) 4-1, Wilson (5-2) edged Barker (4-4) 3-2 and Newfane (4-3) blanked Medina (0-8) 5-0.
Wins at the first two singles spots by Will Chubb and Caleb Suckow led the way for Akron which also got victory by the doubles teams of Sean Brennan – Sean O’Shaughnessy and Will Morgan – Akin Towlson.
James Beach won at third singles for Albion.
Joey Moote and Evan McKinney won at first and second singles for Wilson which also had the duo of Paul Gast – Taylor Goff-Brown win at second doubles.
Willard Nellist won at third singles for Barker.
