Holley and Kendall girls post shutout wins; Notre Dame downs Lyndonville/Medina

Holley blanked visiting Byron-Bergen 3-0 and Kendall shutout host Pembroke 2-0 this evening in Genesee Region League girls soccer games.

Halee Passarell, Samantha Bates and Tatum Gagne took turns scoring the goals for Holley as Emma Brady earned the shutout in goal.

Magdalene Aguirre scored late in the first half off a corner kick by Brianna Wakefield for what proved to be the game winning goal for Kendall.

The Lady Eagles later got an insurance goal from Megan Gates late in the second half off an assist from Madison Jacob.

Kailie Regan made 8 saves to earn the shutout in goal.

Kendall next hosts Wheatland-Chili at 5 p.m. Thursday and Holley entertains Oakfield-Alabama/Elba at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Holley is now 3-1 and Kendall 1-2.

In another G-R contest, Notre Dame defeated Lyndonville/Medina 4-2 this afternoon at Lyndonville.

Arabella Rogers scored two goals for Notre Dame as Autumn Mathisen and Maylee Green each chipped in with one.

Ella Lewis scored both goals for Lyndonville/Medina the first coming on a penalty kick.

Lyndonville next hosts Pembroke at 5 p.m. Thursday.
