Holley and Kendall girls post G-R wins

Holley avenged its only loss by defeating visiting Wheatland-Chili 4-1 this evening in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game.

Holley jumped out to a 2-0 first half lead on goals by Sam Bates and Hayley Skidmore.

Second half goals by Allison Lyndaker and Kayleigh Neale then put a lock on the win for the Lady Hawks.

Holley, which lost to W-C 2-1 earlier in the season, improves to 5-1-1.

The Lady Hawks next visit Byron-Bergen at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Kendall 1, Byron-Bergen 0

Kendall made a lone first half goal stand up for a 1-0 G-R win at Byron-Bergen.

Brianna Wakefield scored the goal on a direct kick at the 26 minute mark of the first half.

Kailie Regan made 6 saves to earn the shutout in goal.

Kendall is now 2-3-1.

The Lady Eagles next host Oakfield-Alabama/Elba at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Notre Dame 3, Lyndonville/Medina 0

Autumn Mathisen scored two goals and Emma Sisson one, all in the first half, to lead Notre Dame to a 3-0 G-R win over visiting Lyndonville/Medina.
