Holley ‘9’ edges past Lyndonville

Holley rallied late to edge past visiting Lyndonville 6-5 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League baseball game.

Trailing 5-4, Holley first pulled even by scoring once in the bottom of the sixth as Ryan Andrews singled and came home on a passed ball.

The Hawks then scored the game winner in the bottom of the seventh on a fielders choice play off the bat of Matt Skehan.

Earlier, Lyndonville tied the game at 2-2 in the third inning on a triple by Kane Flynn and a single by Nate Dillenbeck.

Holley went back up 4-2 in the fourth on a two-run single by Nick Shutz.

The sea-saw action continued in the top of the sixth as Lyndonville first retied the game at 4-4 on a two run home run by Zach Johnson and then took what proved to be a brief 5-4 lead on a passed ball.

Flynn finished with 2 hits for Lyndonville as did Andrews for Holley.

Attica 4, Kendall 1
Two quick runs in the first inning on an error and a pair of hits keyed Attica to 4-1 G-R win over Kendall.

Mason Kuhn had 2 hits and a run producing sacrifice for Kendall.

Sammy Lammes started on the mound for Holley as did Bryce Seddon for Lyndonville.
