Hinkson repeats as WNY PGA Jr. champ

Patrick Hinkson of Lyndonville captured the Western New York PGA Junior Tour Championship for the second straight year in competition this week at two courses in the Rochester area.
Hinkson posted a two day total of 142 to claim the title by 11 strokes over runner-up Christopher Yustin with a 153.
The first round was played at Ridgemont Country Club where Hinkson shot a 73 which was one shot behind leader Nolan Ditcher’s 72.
The second round was played Tuesday in the rain at Blue Heron Hills Golf Club where Hinkson came from behind to win the championship by posting a round of 69.
Hinkson has also earned Player of the Year honors.
