The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a high wind watch on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The watch includes Orleans, Niagara, Genesee, Monroe, Wyoming and northern Erie counties.

The Weather Service said there will be southwest winds from 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 60 mph possible.

“Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines,” the Weather Service said. “Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.”
