High wind warning on Sunday for Orleans
The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a high wind warning for Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. for Orleans, Niagara, Monroe, northern Erie and Genesee counties.
Winds will be southwest at 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 60 mph.
“High winds of 58 mph or greater will make driving difficult and could result in property damage, including downed trees and power lines,” the Weather Service said. “Scattered power outages are expected. Home owners should secure loose objects.”
