High wind warning in effect for Sunday

Temperatures will drop below freezing next week

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Winds will be southwest from 30 to 40 miles per hour with gusts of up to 60 mph, the Weather Service said.

The high wind warning is in effect for Orleans, Niagara, Monroe, Erie, Wyoming and Chautauqua counties.

Today’s forecast includes a high of 38 degrees with a 100 percent chance for rain/snow. The highs for the following days include 51 on Sunday, 20 on Monday, 23 on Tuesday and 17 on Wednesday.
