High school spring sports season set to begin

Baseball, softball and lacrosse contests are all scheduled for this coming week to get the area high school spring sports season underway.

The Medina lacrosse team will host Iroquois in a non league game at 5 p.m. Monday and Salamanca in a Class D Division contest at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Because of the construction work on the south side of Vets Park the games will be played on the field inside the track behind Wise Middle School.

The Albion softball team will visit Kenmore West Monday and Medina will host Iroquois on Friday in non league games.

The Medina baseball squad will host CCA on Wednesday and Holley on Saturday morning in the first game of a preseason tournament which will also include Pembroke and Oakfield-Alabama.

Baseball: CCA at Medina, 4:45 p.m.; Kendall at Newfane, 4:30 p.m.
Lacrosse: Salamanca at Medina, 5 p.m.

Friday
Baseball: CSAT at Barker, 4:30 p.m.
Softball: Iroquois at Medina, 4:30 p.m.

Saturday
Baseball: Holley at Medina, 9 a.m. Pembroke vs. Oakfield-Alabama at Medina, 11:30 a.m.
Lacrosse: Medina at Newark, 11 a.m.
