Hickory Ridge Leagues weekly roundup

On the links at Hickory Ridge, the Tuesday Ladies Out league reported a rough night on the difficult back nine.

Deb Wood shot 45 gross to beat Dona Hazen by a stroke. Barb Downs had low net with a 35 beating Hazen who posted a 37. Wood and her playing partner Aleta Martin both notched birdies on the difficult par 5 12th hole. Carol Lowell also recorded a bird.

Wood and Martin continue to lead the standings with 72 points. Ferguson and Brawn are in second with 63.5. Pfister and Passarell are in third with 57.5 points.

In the Pete Sullivan Sr. Golf league John True and Gene Ashe both shot 75 for low gross. Darrell Johnson and Steve Novak shared low net with a 64. Novak has been playing some good golf lately and will be a force to contend with the rest of the way out.

Dan Morphet had three birdies on the day with Dana Vosburgh and Ashe getting two apiece and True and Jimmy Z getting one each. Closest to the pin on number 11 was Jimmy Z at 9 feet 6 inches. Closest second shot on number 15 was Novak at 32 feet.

The Thursday Night Mens Traveling league had Barry Flansberg and Guy Eaton Sharing low gross honors with 42. Likewise Corey Stalker and Scooter Burgess shared low net with a 30. Only three birdies on the night, one each for Jason Schrader, Cedrik Soria and Stalker.

Flansberg and Stalker continue to lead in the standings with 220 points. Burgess and Eaton are in second with 210 points and Molisani and Soria are in third with 206 points.
