Hickory Ridge Leagues weekly roundup

The weather is cooperating and Hickory Ridge is getting a lot of play from open golfers to leagues.

Reporting in first this past week was the Tuesday Ladies Night Out league. Atop the leaderboard for low gross was Aleta Martin with a 39 nudging out Deb Wood at 41. Martin also took low net in a tie with Cheryl Ferguson at 33 with Eileen Snyder at 34. Martin, Ferguson and Karen Berlew all posted birdies.

The Peter Sullivan Sr. league played early Thursday morning. Low gross was John True with a 77. Steve Novak posted an amazing 63 low net. Closest to the pin on number 18 was Jimmy Z at 5’ 10”. Closest second shot on number 7 was True at 27’. Skins were won by Duane Engle, Dana Vosburgh, Jeff Dobson and Gene Ashe. This Tuesday is a four man scramble followed by a the first of three league picnics and a banquet. It’s not too late to sign up for the league.

Thursday Night Traveling league reports Barry Flansberg carding the low gross with a 40. Loyd Denniston and Scooter Burgess each had a 32 net. Birdies were had by Denniston, Kyle Smith, Tim Hollenbeck, Wes Bedford and Dave Cotter. Denniston and Draper lead the league with 68 points. Bennett and Budde and Molisani and Soria teams each 62. Hanlon and Schrader and Cotter and Knaak both have 58.
