Hickory Ridge golf leagues action

Last week was another busy one for the league golfers at Hickory Ridge.

The Monday Night Bar Guys Senior Division had Mark Condolucci with low gross of 42.  Dave Barton had low net of 32 and recorded the only birdie in the Senior Division.  In the Junior Division AJ Gifaldi had low gross of 41 while Dan Mawn had low net of 32.  Birdies were recorded by Gifaldi, Rod Finnefrock and Bernie Ruggeri.  No standings were reported last week.

The Tuesday Ladies Night Out League played the very difficult back nine.  Karen Berlew, Brenda Powers and Laurie Freeman all shared low gross of 50.  Freeman had low net of 40 with Berlew and Powers one stroke back at 41.  Olive Heffron recorded the only birdie on the day.  In the standings Judy Schuth and Diane Hennecky are in first place with 54 points.  Cheryl Ferguson and Vicki Brawn are close behind with 51.  Brenda Powers and Marcia Zambito hold down third with 48 points.

The Men’s Wednesday Night League has the team of Brooks and Snyder in first place with 61.5 points.  Taylor and Tyler and Pfister and Bessell are right on their heels with 61 points each.  Berlew and Hazen are in fourth with 56 points.  Low gross was Raymont Daniels with 37 and Mark Hackenburg had low net with 31.  Birdies were plentiful with Tim Hendrickson, Larry Powers, Lynn Tyler, Dave Petta, John Carlson, Brian Hofstra, Mark Hackenburg and Craig Hazen each recording one.

The Mixed Couples Friday Night Fun League reports the team of Jim and Marcia Zambito in first place with 373 points.  Dave and Melissa Cotter are in second with 375 points followed by Bill Fitzgerald and Faye McNeil in third with 388 .  John and Diane Colsanti with 391 points and Randy and Paula Knaak with 394 round out the top five.

The Senior and the Super Senior Club Championship is today.  The next tournament on the schedule for Hickory Ridge Golf Association is the 6-6-6 tournament scheduled for August 15.  Signup for that tournament is by August 12.  The two-person tournament is open to HRGA members and social golfers who are not members of HRGA but have a league handicap.  The format will be 6 holes of best ball, 6 holes of alternate shot and 6 holes of scramble.
