Mother Nature finally cooperated and the four Person Spring Mixer Tournament was finally played at Hickory Ridge after a weather postponement earlier in the season.

The tournament creates computer generated foursomes based on their GHIN handicaps with a golfer from each level selected for each team.

This was a scramble tournament with the foursome of Bill Connolly, Dona Hazen, Dick Taylor and Clark Brooks placing first with a score of 8 under par.

Second place went to the team of AJ Hanaburgh, Laurie Freeman, Owen Toale and Bob (Socks) Butler with a score of 6 under par.

For Connolly this was his second tournament win of the season as he also won the Hickory Ridge Cup a few weeks ago.

Next up for Hickory Ridge Golf Association members is the two person scramble scheduled for June 23.
