Hickory Ridge holds Spring Mixer Tourney

The Hickory Ridge Golf Association got the tournament season started with their Spring Mixer tournament on Sunday.
The scramble format featured teams that were put together by handicap. Placing in first with a score of 63 was the team of Randy Knaak, Dona Hazen, Marcia Zambito and Werner Stumpf. They shot a remarkable 10 birdies and one bogey in the round. Second with a score of 69 was the team of Deb Wood, Owen Toale, Clark Brooks and Ed Berlew.
Leagues reporting this week are Ladies Night Out on Tuesday and Men’s Thursday Night League. Full standing for the leagues are not available until handicaps are established.
On Tuesday Deb Wood led low gross with 43. Aleta Maynard was second with 52. Low net was Vicki Brawn with a 41 followed closely by Diane Abel with a net 42. Abel shot the only birdie on the night.
Barry Flansberg led the men on Thursday night was a 41 gross. Corey Stalker and Jim Soule shared low net with a 31. Bill Furness shot the only birdie.
