Hickory Ridge holds 3-2-1 Members Tourney

The Hickory Ridge Golf Association held a Members’ Tournament this past week. The tournament, called the 3-2-1 tournament featured teams of four that were put together by handicap.

On each par 5 the team had to record three players scores. At each par 4 they had to record two players scores and on each par three they could select one score to report.

The winning team of Larry Powers, Brenda Powers, Werner Stumpf and Gary Wood posted a 143. Second place was held by Craig Freeman, Dave Cotter, Marcia Zambito and Bob (Socks) Butler with a score of 150. Of note, Craig Freeman shot a 76 and Deb Wood a 77 to lead all scorers.

The Tuesday Ladies Night Out league shows Deb Wood with low gross of 37. Kathy Schuth had a 40. Low net was Marian Gerhardt with a remarkable net 25. Cindy Roberts posted a net 29. Ann Burton, Judy Schuth and Kathy Schuth all recorded birdies. No standings ere reported this week.

On the men’s side the Wednesday Night league has Tim Hendrickson shooting low gross with a 41. Larry Powers was low net with a 32. The Wyants lead the league with 51 points. Powers and Connolly are in second with 49.5 points while Berlew and Hazen hold third with 48.5 points.

The Mens’ Thursday Senior league saw some birdie shooting last week. Gary Wood, Jeff Dobson and Dan Morphet each recorded one. Jimmy Zambito had two and Dana Vosburgh posted five birdies to lead the birdie brigade. Closest to the pin second shot on number 2 was Vosburgh and Wood posted closest to the pin on number 9.

The Hickory Hicks report Lee Begy with closest to the pin on hole number 3. Karl Fellows had the longest putt on hole number 9. Leading once again is the team of John and Diane Colsanti with 36 points. Melissa and Dave Cotter are in second place with 38 points. Kevin and Tracy Klach, Ed and Judy Zehler and Steve Galante and Dave Marcolini are all tied with 39 points.
