Hickory Ridge has third hole-in-one

Hickory Ridge recorded its third hole in one of the season this past Thursday.

Playing in the Orange Ball Tournament for the Thursday Senior League Gary Derwick aced the 133 yard third hole using an 8 iron. His acceptance of the accolades bestowed upon him at the league picnic that day was legendary.

The Tuesday Night Ladies Night Out league has the first place team of Judy Schuth and Diane Hennekey putting a little room between themselves and the rest of the league with 75 points.

Cheryl Ferguson and Vicki Brawn hold second with 68.5 points.  Brenda Powers and Marcia Zambito are in third  with 68 points and Laurie Freeman and Linda Chrzan in fourth with 63 points.

Low gross was Deb Wood with 35 and Patty Phister snagged low net with a 28.  Birdies were had by Wood, Phister, Freeman and Karen Berlew.

It will be position round this week for the Men’s Thursday Night League and points for the top three teams are very tight.

Bennett and Budde lead with 208 points.  Dibley and Flansberg and Fisher and Hennekey are tied at 206 points each.  The Millers have 192 points and Drury and Nagy round out the top five with 184 points.

Gene Ashe and Guy Eaton shared low gross with a 39.  Bud Peglow and Jason Spencer had low net with 28 each.  Ashe had three birdies on the round.
