For the second straight day a heat advisory is in effect for Orleans County until 7 p.m.

The temperature is forecast to reach 88, but the heat index values will be in the mid to upper 90s, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo.

The advisory also includes Niagara, Monroe, northern Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Wayne, northern Cayuga, Oswego and Ontario counties.

The Weather Service said the hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur.
