State Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R-Batavia) will welcome an Assemblyman from New York City for a tour of the 139th Assembly District on Tuesday.

Michael Benedetto (D-Bronx) will visit several businesses and farms in Lyndonville, Medina, Oakfield and Batavia.

“As I’ve done for the past several years, I will be touring my Assembly district with my colleague and Bronx Assemblyman Michael Benedetto,” Hawley said. “At a time when politics seems divisive and gridlocked, I always make an effort to reach across the aisle and invite a colleague from the Big Apple to a different part of the state, and in turn I plan on visiting their Assembly district as well. At the end of the day, we are all New Yorkers and I can see this as a tremendously enriching experience for both of us.”

Hawley and Benedetto are scheduled to visit Green Harbor Campgrounds & Marina in Lyndonville, LynOaken Farms    in Lyndonville, Torrey Farms in Lyndonville and then have lunch at Avanti’s in Medina.

After lunch they may stop by the Medina Railroad Museum and then go to Z&M (Landpro Equipment) in Oakfield, Genesee Community College in Batavia, Chapin Manufacturing in Batavia, Batavia Downs and the Fortunes restaurant at the Downs for dinner.
