Hawley: Old electronics can be disposed of at Batavia event on Saturday

BATAVIA – Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,C,I-Batavia) is partnering with Western New York business Sunnking, Inc. to collect old electronics citizens are looking to responsibly dispose of in an environmentally responsible way.

The event will take place on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. It will be at a parking lot at 5130 E. Main Street, Batavia (Next to National Grid). Enter off Ag Park Drive.

“One of the biggest challenges that comes with trying to remain environmentally responsible is figuring out how to dispose of things not conventionally recyclable by the average person,” Hawley said. “This is where Sunnking comes in. I’ve had the pleasure to work with them in the past on events much like this one, and am grateful they are able to conduct this business safely and securely in the wake of the pandemic.”

Hawley will be joined by Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora) for the event. Otherwise Sunnking cannot collect your electronic recycling. Each vehicle is limited to four televisions or monitors total.
