BATAVIA – State Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R-Batavia) and Jim Freas of Medina are pictured this morning. They joined about 100 people on the 11th annual Patriot Trip which is organized by Hawley’s office.

The 4-day trip will include stops at the memorials for WWII, U.S. Naval Academy, Gettysburg, Korean War, Vietnam, Iwo Jima, Air Force and September 11, 2001, as well as a host of other famous sites and monuments in and around the Washington D.C. area.

“Each of us owes our local veterans a tremendous debt of gratitude for their service and sacrifice to defend the values and freedoms we hold dear,” Hawley said. “I am so grateful to be able to share the unforgettable experience of visiting our nation’s capital with these brave men and women each year on our Patriot Trip, and look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come.”
