Hawks trio earns G-R All-Star honors

Holley’s first team Genesee Region League All-Stars include, from left, Joe DeFelice, Josh Porter and Jon Bower.
Division 1 champion Holley has three first team Genesee Region League All-Star selections in the senior trio of Joe DeFelice, Josh Porter and Jon Bower.
DeFelice, who started at shortstop, hit .474 with 9 doubles, 5 triples and 21 RBIs. He also posted a 6-0 record on the mound with a 1.40 earned run average.
Porter, who manned the key catcher’s position, hit .378 with 5 doubles and 14 RBIs. He also earned four saves on the mound.
Bower, who started at third base but shifted to short when DeFelice pitched, hit .358 with 5 doubles, 1 triple and 9 RBIs. He compiled a 5-0 pitching record with a 1.29 era.
