Hawks post win over Golden Knights

Making it two wins in a row, Holley defeated host York/Pavilion 34-22 this evening in a Livingston County League football game.

Holley rebounded from an early touchdown deficit to take a 14-13 lead at the half on touchdown runs by quarterback Jeremy Mallett of 12 and 1 yards.

The host Golden Knights had scored on the game’s first play from scrimmage.

The Hawks then broke the game open in the third quarter with three unanswered touchdowns on runs of 41 and 22 yards by Jacob Affronti and of 12 yards by Camron Labarge.

In all the Hawks gained over 300 yards on the ground behind the offensive line blocking of Jake Norman, Glenn Thrower, Nate Towne, Hunter McClean and Brandon Dillenbeck.

Now at 2-3, Holley next visits Oakfield-Alabama/Elba next Saturday afternoon at Elba.
